when a word has a short vowel sound followed by two consonants, we do not change the root word to add a suffix (e.g. rest-resting)

when a word has a long vowel sound followed by one consonant, we do not change the root word to add a suffix (e.g. shout-shouted)

School spelling Poems and Tales will always be written in the order that they have been given.
